M86 Adds Tablet Filtering to Secure Web Gateway Solution
M86 Security just announced today the release of version 4.2 of their Web Filtering and Reporting Suite (WFR). The WFR is a key component of the M86 Secure Web Gateway solution as it provides the application control portion of the security solution.
A key addition to the suite is the ability to filter tablet devices. Now M86 will provide user identification and web based user authentication for users of tablet devices such as Apple iOS devices (iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad), Android devices, and other tablet and portable devices.
The ability to filter tablet and other portable devices, report on portable user web utilization, and offer network based security for these devices is a crucial facet of securing today's networks from the ever evolving hosts of Internet based threats.
This helps position M86 security as one of the ongoing leaders in the web filtering and more importantly the Secure Web Gateway solutions market.
